Program
The International School of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory offers an intensive program of individual lessons, lectures, master classes and performances in the following majors:
- solo performance, including piano, organ and all orchestral instruments;
- solo singing;
- choral conducting;
- chamber ensemble;
- the art of accompaniment;
- composition;
- the teaching of piano, stringed instrument and vocal performance;
- music theory courses.
Three individual lessons per week (fifty minutes each) are guaranteed to every student. They may also participate in master classes taught by Russia’s leading teachers every day, as well as in a concert performance scheduled for 20 August 2013 at the Rachmaninoff Hall.
The teaching major includes lectures, speeches and seminars on the basis of Russia’s world famous music education system, from its elementary to higher levels. The music theory major includes individual lessons and lectures on the history and theory of Russian and European classical and folk music, as well as on anthropology of music culture and on ethnomusicology.
Teachers
Over fifty leading teachers of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory who attained renown worldwide for their artistic and academic merits have been teaching at its International School on a biannual basis.
Certificate
Upon completion of the International School Program, every participant shall get a respective certificate issued by the Moscow Conservatory.
Accommodation and Meals
The International School participants may either stay at the Moscow Conservatory guest house or choose any of the Moscow hotels at extra charge. Two meals per day are guaranteed for the participants in the conservatory’s dining-room.
Cultural Program
The International School is held in the conservatory’s historical building in the very heart of Moscow, one of the largest cities worldwide. The participants will be offered a sightseeing guided tour over Moscow and vicinities with an escort interpreter. Additional tours, such as visits to the Moscow Kremlin, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Bolshoi Theater, as well as to Tchaikovsky’s, Skryabin’s, Richter’s and other famous Russian musicians’ memorial flats, may be organized at extra charge.
Electives
The following services may be offered to the International School participants at extra charge:
- Russian language lessons;
- an interpreter for an individual cultural program;
- an accompanist for rehearsals and for the concert performance on 20 August;
- chamber ensemble lessons with other participants of the International School or with the available students of the Moscow Conservatory;
- lessons of accompaniment with participation of professional solo singers;
- any other additional lessons with the conservatory teachers.
Please note: in case you have chosen lessons of chamber ensemble or the art of accompaniment as your major, no extra fee is charged.
The Cost of the Program
- 1–7 August, one week: the ending time is 8 August, 12:00 PM
- 8–14 August, one week: the ending time is 15 August, 12:00 PM
- 15–21 August, one week: the ending time is 22 August, 12:00 PM
- 1–14 August, two weeks: the ending time is 15 August, 12:00 PM
- 8–21 August, two weeks: the ending time is 22 August, 12:00 PM
- 1–21 August, three weeks: the ending time is 22 August, 12:00 PM
One seven-day course includes:
- three individual lessons with a teacher;
- free access to master classes;
- participation in the final concert of the International School;
- free access to any events in the concert halls of the Moscow Conservatory;
- an interpreter during the lessons;
- an accompanist during the lessons;
- free access to the Moscow Conservatory Library;
- staying at the Moscow Conservatory guest house;
- two meals per day (lunch and dinner);
- group trips over Moscow;
- meeting and seeing off at the airport;
- visa support.

The cost of staying and meals for every additional day is 2000 rubles.
The amounts listed in the foregoing table do not include any banking fees for transferring money to the Moscow Conservatory’s accounts in foreign currencies. In order to get both an official invitation and visa support, a registration fee of 4500 rubles must be transferred not later than 1 July 2013 to any of the following bank accounts (depending on the currency you choose):

The registration fee is included into the total cost of the program.
Important! The full amount of payment must not be transferred before the Agreement on your participation in the International Summer School is signed (either in paper or electronic version). In case the participant decides to withdraw from the International School Program, his/her registration fee will not be returned.
